General Dog Days of Summer



When I plan summer gathering with friend and family during the 90-degrees days, the first idea that comes to me is “simple” and “casual”. I love prepping my vegetables in advance when I want to make beautiful salads, sandwiches and dips. Stop & Shop offers the freshest fruits and vegetables. Less is more when it comes to entertaining specially in the middle of the summer when I want to be able to spend less time in my kitchen and more time outdoors.

Fourth Of July Celebration

Planning our annual Fourth of July get together requires a lot of work but this year I decided to make life a bit easier!

Between my busy schedule, I had time for just one stop to get everything I needed and decided to make it my local Stop & Shop.

First, I grabbed paper goods, a blue tablecloth, red napkins and fresh cut flowers. I picked up some perfectly patriotic mini cupcakes, donut holes and fresh sugar cookies. I was really impressed by how fresh and delicious they all looked.

I love to bake, especially in the summer when so many fruits are in season. I picked up some fresh blueberries to make a clafoutis, a dessert thats easy to make and requires few ingredients. From paper goods to pastries, fresh ingredients to beautiful flowers, I was in and out with everything I needed!

I saved a lot of time and was able to get it all in just one stop!





Chicken with roasted vegetables


1/2 cup butternut squash diced small
1/2 cup sweet potato diced small
1/2 cup carrots diced small
1 onions diced small
1 whole chicken
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp olive oil

Preheat the oven to 400. Arrange the vegetables on the bottom of on oven proof dish. In a small bowl, mix the spices and the oil. Place the chicken on top of the vegetable. Sprinkle everything with the spice mixture. Bake uncovered for about 1 hour, until the chicken is golden brown.

Oven roasted salmon

2 pieces of salmon fillet with skin on
3 medium size tomatoes
1 onion
1 zucchini
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tbsp Garlic powder
1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp of cumin
1 tbsp of olive Oil
1/3 cup of fresh chopped cilantro

Preheat the oven to 400. Slice the tomatoes, zucchini and onion very thin. Arrange on a baking tray, sprinkle salt and pepper.
Place the fish on top of the vegetables, sprinkle a little bit more salt, pepper, paprika and cumin. Drizzle the olive oil. Garnish with chopped cilantro on top.
Bake uncovered for 30min. Serve warm.
